Ghizlene is a Psychology student with a minor in Health Science. Her interests have always been built around mental health and human behavior. By joining Dr. Cénat's lab, Ghizlène has furthered her research interests in social inclusion and the impact of racial discrimination and microaggressions by participating in projects on the mental health of Black communities. Our member also sits on the Anti-Racism and Inclusion Committee at the University of Ottawa. Ghizlene's other interests include health psychology, specifically social psychology, oncology and autism spectrum disorders. In addition to being a research assistant and social mobilizer at the V-TRac lab, Ghizlene is diversifying her expertise by also being a research assistant at Dr. Lebel's psycho-oncology lab at the University of Ottawa. Ghizlene hopes to pursue her studies in clinical psychology in the future, in order to further develop her research interests and passion for psychology.
