Nomination of José López as the Director of the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Professor José López as Director of the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies. His mandate is for three years, from July 1st, 2017 to June 30, 2020.

On the basis of the comments received from the members of the teaching staff, we are confident that Professor López will bring a valuable experience in the management and development of the School and that he will be able to count on the support and cooperation of faculty members.

Professor López holds a Bachelor in Sociology from the University of Windsor and a Master in Sociology from the University of Essex. He also holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Essex. Among many, is research work touches on the emergence of the human right to food critical realism, social structure, political sociology of bioethics and new technologies, political economy.

We hope that you will join us in congratulating Professor López, and wishing him the best of luck in his new position at the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor Nathan Young for his excellent work as Interim Director over the past year.
