David Jaclin and Scott Simon have just published articles in a thematic section of Anthropologica entitled “Animal Competences.”
In his article “Une souris verte…Organismes transgéniques, speculations humanimales et autres bricolages de vivant," Jaclin looks at the animal fellowship of humans and transgenic cancerous mice.
Simon’s article “A Little Bird Told Me: Changing Human-Bird Relations on a Formosan Indigenous Territory,” describes four ways in which different Indigenous and Japanese people relate to the same bird species. Anthropologica is the journal of the Canadian Anthropology Society.
