We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Efe Peker as Replacement Professor at the School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies.
Efe holds a joint-PhD in Sociology (Simon Fraser University) and in History (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), and he recently completed his SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship (2017-19) in Sociology at McGill University. His research focuses on state-religion relations and secularity in comparative-historical perspective, including North America, Europe, and the Middle East (with particular attention to Québec, France, and Turkey).
Efe officially took office on July 1st.
