Ruth Kane, new Director of the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Service (CRECS)

We are pleased to inform you that the Faculty of Education’s Professor Ruth Kane has been appointed Director of the Centre for Research on Educational and Community Service (CRECS) for a three year mandate until June 30, 2021.

CRECS is a bi-faculty centre, under the auspices of the Faculties of Social Sciences and Education. Professor Kane’s is a Full Professor, Director of Graduate Studies (Anglophone sector), and former Director of Teacher Education (all at the Faculty of Education). Moreover, she has been a co-director of CRECS for the past two years.

We hope that you will join us in congratulating her and wishing her much success in her new role.

We would also like to take this opportunity to also thank Professor Virginie Cobigo for her remarkable contribution and dedication to the Centre and the Faculty of Social Sciences throughout her mandate.
