First place for the University of Ottawa's in this year’s 2017 Political Science Games

Held annually since 2011, the Political Science Games aim to promote exchanges between students of the various Political Science departments and schools from Quebec and elsewhere. Through challenges in sports and academic, participants compete with their peers in an atmosphere of professionalism, camaraderie and healthy competition.

The delegation was first in the overall ranking and in the social competition, and remained on the podium in the sport, quiz, negotiations and debates competitions.

Marie-Pier Fortin, graduate student in Public Administration and team coach, and Enzo Zorigtbaatar, a fourth-year student in political science and head of the delegation, had complete confidence in the team. “Our group never gave up during the competition. We helped and encouraged each other in every sport or academic competition. It was this consistency in performance and support that allowed us to stand out.”

The delegation would like to thank the professors who devoted their time to prepare the team. “We would like to acknowledge the help of professors Manon Tremblay, François Rocher and Cédric Jourde in the academic cases. They also wish to thank professors Christian Rouillard and Éric Champagne for their support throughout the preparation.
