According to a survey, designed and administered in October 2019 by a team at the University of British Columbia in collaboration with a researcher from the University of Ottawa, there’s support for continued contact with China despite worries and uncertainties and a lack of trust in the US.
On Thursday, February 6, 2020, students enrolled in the Introduction to Canadian Politics (POL 2101 C) course had the honour of meeting the Right Honourable Richard Wagner, P.C., Chief Justice of Canada. An initiative, led by Professor Tamara Kotar, who is teaching part-time at the School of Political Studies.
Case Study Competition in Public Administration held at the School of Political Studies
Professor Pierre Martel's integration seminar in public administration concluded with the traditional case competition. From near-real cases, teams assessed policy options and action plans to deal with drinking water in aboriginal communities in Northern Ontario and a social housing development project for the homeless in the face of local opposition. Congratulations to the winning team, Jacob Heron, Nicole Harrison, Alexandria Esteves-Menard and Mathias Ross-Buzas.
