Professor Marjorie Silverman, School of Social Work, has received a number of distinctions

Professor Marjorie Silverman, School of Social Work, has recently received a number of distinctions. First, she won the 2013-2014 CSL Outstanding Achievement Award in the Professor category, from the University of Ottawa's Centre for Global and Community Engagement. Second, she won the McGill University Arts Insight Dissertation Award for the highest ranked doctoral thesis of 2013 in the social sciences. Finally, Marjorie has also been nominated by McGill University for the CAGS-UMI Distinguished Dissertation Award, a pan-Canadian doctoral dissertation award given by the Canadian Association for Graduate Studies. The School of Social Work congratulates Marjorie on these accomplishments.
