President’s Award for Service Excellence presented to Sophie LeTouzé

As the Research Development Manager for the Faculty of Social Sciences since 2009, Sophie LeTouzé plays a strategic role at the Office of the Vice-Dean of Research. Right-hand woman for the Vice-Dean of Research, Sophie ensures the development and implementation of the research vision at the Faculty of Social Sciences. She serves as a source of advice to 277 researchers for matters related to seeking out and obtaining funding; and helps showcase the impact of social science research.

"At the Office of the Vice-Dean of Research, our goal is to be among the best researchers in social sciences in Canada. To do so, we must make sure to support, fund and promote research in social sciences," says Sophie LeTouzé.

The Vice-Dean of Research, Rose-Anne Devlin, certainly has high praise for her: “Sophie’s contribution to FSS is enormous, so too are her contributions to uOttawa. She delivers on the University’s concept of service excellence by finding effective and innovative solutions. Respectful and always encouraging, Sophie handles difficult files with the utmost professionalism. Unquestionably, uOttawa is a better institution because of Sophie LeTouzé!

The President’s Awards for Service Excellence is a great way for uOttawa to recognize the work of exceptional employees!

The award was officially presented to Ms. LeTouzé on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Founders’ Breakfast.
