The post-doctoral Criminology student José Roberto Franco Xavier, received an Academic Gold Medal from the Governor-General of Canada in the category Humanities. The medal, which recognizes outstanding scholastic achievements for graduate studies, it is the most important academic award of the country. His thesis is titled “The reception of public opinion by the criminal law system”.
