Nomination of Directors and Vice-Deans

Message from the dean - Vicky Barham

I am pleased to inform you that, following the nomination process for directors of academic units and vice-deans, the following appointments and mandates have officially been approved by the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic Affairs:

Department of Criminology: Jennifer Kilty(3-year mandate – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023)

School of Social Work: Sébastien Savard(3-year mandate – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023)

School of Psychology: Christopher Fennell(3-year mandate – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023)

School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies:Nathalie Mondain (interim mandate of 1 year – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021)

Graduate School of Public and International Affairs: Gilles Breton (1-year mandate extension – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021)

Vice-Dean of Governance and Internationalization: Nathan Young (3-year mandate – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023)

Vice-Dean of Research: John Sylvestre (18-month mandate extension – July 1, 2020, to December 31, 2021)

Due to the high number of requests received by the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic Affairs, the following positions are awaiting final approval:

Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Studies: Marc Molgat ( 1-year mandate extension – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021)

School of International Development and Global Studies: Susan Spronk (3-year mandate – from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023)

I congratulate them and thank them all for their contribution and their dedication to the Faculty of Social Sciences.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank José Lopez, School of Sociological and Anthropological Studies, and Catherine Plowright, School of Psychology,for their excellent work as Director during the past few years. It has truly been a joy and pleasure to work with you.
