Caring for your mental health is extremely important in the framework of my career. I offer counselling and support services in a community with very limited access to social services and community resources.

In my role as a social worker for family health, here are some findings I am happy to share: taking care of yourself means, nourishing your physical and mental health. Get into action! Move. Nourish your body with good food. Rest. Explore new strategies for managing stress. Surround yourself with people who support you and bring you joy. Recognize “warning signs” for when things aren’t going so well. Inform yourself on what resources are available to support you. And finally, give yourself permission to be who you are, to live your own life and to do what’s best for you. Life will always bring you challenge, so be sure to invest in yourself!
