uOttawa's Regional Alumni Councils are made up of dedicated volunteers representing all university faculties and diverse professional backgrounds. From Montreal to New York to Paris and Shanghai– these ambassadors help raise the profile of the University internationally through active outreach, championing philanthropic activity and supporting regional events.

Julian Franklin received a Bachelor of Social Sciences, Criminology in 1995 from uOttawa and is currently the Principal of  Franklin Management Group (FMG). FMG is a bespoke consulting firm built on the mantra of Building Something Special. This commitment has served clients including Amazon, Dairy Farmers of Ontario, Kruger as well as start-ups and non for-profits across diverse marketing and revenue generating strategies. FMG’s rapid success does not come as a surprise, given that Julian has held executive positions in promotion and marketing for brands and companies in Canada and the United States ranging from the Toronto Blue Jays to Kraft Foods Group over the past two decades.

And most recently, Julian will be applying his expertise in brand campaigns, strategic services and marketing to elevating the University of Ottawa’s Toronto presence!

“Ottawa U has touched many facets of my personal and professional life and I am thrilled to lead our Toronto chapter into the next phase of bringing Ottawa U alumni even closer together. The need to stay connected is more important than ever, and our chapter can play a small part in making this happen. I look forward to engaging with our great alumni in Toronto” – Julian Franklin
