1. I did my studies (Where? In what?)
I did all of my studies here at the University of Ottawa; while completing my Honors in Human Kinetics, I was fortunate enough to take Professor Penny Werthner’s third year Sport Psychology course. This course inspired me to complete the Master’s program in Sport Psychology, where I had the opportunity to learn from some of the best Professors in the field of Mental Performance
2. The best part about my job . . . .
The best part of my job is that I get to interact with the student population every day, both in one on one student consultations, and as the Coordinator of a great team of student mentors. Life as a student can be extremely difficult, and I take pride in being in a position to help students navigate these challenges while contributing to their U of O experience.
3. What people don’t know about me . . .
I met my wife while we were both studying at U of O
I am a former student-athlete and Captain of the Men’s Hockey team, representing the University of Ottawa at the National Championships in 2003.
I was part of the Venue management team for the Richmond Olympic Oval during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic & Paralympic Games
As a member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association, I am actively involved in the field of Mental Performance Consulting and currently work with both Women’s and Men’s hockey teams in the community, including the Men’s team at U of O
4. The most important part of my day is . . . .
The most important part of my day is every second that I can spend with my family. Life can sometimes be hectic with a young family, but I always make sure that they come first.
