It is with pleasure that we welcome you to graduate studies at the School of International Development and Global Studies. We are delighted that you have joined our dynamic group of students and faculty, dedicated to studying some of the most critical issues we face globally. Our graduate programs – at the MA and Doctoral levels -- offer an innovative, rewarding academic experience that enables you to gain both academic and practitioner skills. This is unique in many ways, both in the Canadian context and internationally.
We know you will have many questions about various aspects of your program. This Handbook has been prepared to help you navigate through your graduate studies and to enable you to easily access the relevant information needed to answer key questions. It offers a great deal of information on all stages of the program from enrolment to graduation. Read it carefully and consult it as needed. While much of what you need to know is in this Handbook, feel free to ask the School’s Secretariat or your Program Coordinator, if you require further assistance.
We look forward to working with you and helping you succeed in your graduate studies here at the School of International Development and Global Studies.
