MA in Globalization and International Development
Ottawa is the locus of most international development related activities and institutions in Canada. The MA program draws on and reinforces the university’s natural linkages with government institutions concerned with international development, including the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT), Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (FATDC), as well as non‐governmental organizations (NGOs) ‐ some 200 of which are based in Ottawa. Local think‐tanks, NGOs, research centres, and government departments have a great need for expertise and are potential future employers of graduates of this program.
