Congratulations to the researchers of the Centre on Governance, Professors Anne Mevellec and Linda Cardinal for the publication of their article entitled: "More than 50 years after its adoption as official policy, bilingualism in Ottawa remains symbolic" in The Conversation!

This article discusses the issues surrounding the bilingualism policy that the City of Ottawa has had since 1970. However, when it comes to the recruitment of bilingual municipal executives, the policy has been difficult to implement. Thus, on the eve of the Ontario municipal elections, the context is propitious to put forward the needs and demands of Francophone groups.
