Portrait of Hélène Pellerin

I completed my studies...

I completed my PhD at York University, Toronto, in 1994, in political science, specializing in international relations and international political economy.

My research interests are...

My research has long focused on the governance and political economy of international migration. My new research program focuses on the issue of reparations and compensation claims as a phenomenon of international financial diplomacy.

My favorite quote...

One of my favorite quotes is from Fyodor Dostoevsky (Diary of a Writer, 1873): "The most intelligent of all, in my opinion, is the one who at least once a month calls himself an imbecile"

My favorite place on campus...

One place I particularly cherish on campus is the living wall at the Faculty of Social Sciences. A place that allows us to think while staying connected to nature.
