The Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies is pleased to announce that one of our graduate students, Karen Marie Olsen Lawford (Ph.D. candidate) has received the 2016 National Women's Studies Association (NWSA) Graduate Scholarship Honorable Mention. Karen was recognized for excellence in her research. Her research seeks to understand the experiences and processes of Health Canada’s evacuation policy for pregnant first nations women in Manitoba.
