Meet This Year’s Winners of the Murida Graduate Scholarship!

Congratulations to Ishrat Jahan Ahmed, Charlotte Dahin, and Harpreet Kaur Gill, doctoral students in women’s studies and the recipients of the 2018-2019 Murida Graduate Scholarship in Women’s Studies. The Murida scholarship pays tribute to the life and works of two incredible women: Muriel Paquin and Ida Deurloo. Muriel Paquin worked in television with Radio-Canada while Ida Deurloo worked in finance, but they both sought to further the careers of women from a feminist perspective. This scholarship lends its support to the research of these three international students at the Institute of Feminist and Gender Studies.

Congratulations to Margarita Stappas, this year’s Faculty of Social Sciences undergraduate valedictorian.
