Congratulations to applied econometrics student, Esteban Pinzon-Delgado, member of the winning team of the first-ever Statistics Canada CANDEV Data Challenge, that was held on campus on October 20th 2018. CANDEV is a 24 hour data challenge centered on solving problems related to data management, specifically challenges encountered in government departments. Participants are asked to build solutions to user stories provided by government departments partnered with CANDEV. The Data Challenge is an opportunity to get to know more about the different agencies and departments of the federal government. This postsecondary data challenge aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn about new technologies, develop solutions on concrete business cases, and share their work with the community.
