Carolyn Côté-Lussier is awarded a SSHRC Insight Development Grant

The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) has awarded a $50,000 Insight Development Grant to Professor Carolyn Côté-Lussier, which will support a research project entitled “Emotion, intuition and public support for harsh criminal justice policy”.

This research will make use of the University of Ottawa’s INSPIRE Laboratory to measure individuals’ intuitive desires to punish criminals harshly and contribute to policy debates on the public’s continued support for harsh criminal justice policy.
