Series editor: Linda Cardinal. There has been a resurgence of the study of politics, inspired by debates on globalization, renewed citizen engagement and demands, and transformations of the welfare state. In this context, the study of political regimes, ideas, processes and public policy contribute to refreshing our understanding of the evolution of contemporary societies. Public policy is at the heart of political and state actions. It provides direction for governments, defines their objectives and steers civic and collective action. Political analysis is ever more complex and dynamic, embracing increasingly diverse political, social, economic, cultural and identity-related phenomena. The Politics and Public Policy series is an ideal forum for titles that explore these issues in Canada and around the world
