Joint letter « Pour un Secrétariat général de la traduction »

On May 11th 2016, Linda Cardinal and many experts specialising in translation signed a letter addressed to the Standing Committee on Official Languages who is responsible for the federal government's Translation Bureau. The co-signers suggest to implement a « Secrétariat général de la traduction » that would be a branch of the ministry of Canadian Heritage rather than the ministry of Public Services and Procurement. This secretariat would manage all tasks related to federal government translation and translation would become mandatory. You can read the letter here :
