Julia received her B.A. with Honours in Psychology from Concordia University in 2020 where she investigated the relations among perceived responsibility, thought-action fusion beliefs, and feelings of shame in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Her research interests are centered around better understanding the cognitive and emotional processes involved in the development and maintenance of moral injury. She is interested in elucidating the mechanisms that underlie moral pain (i.e., shame and guilt) with the overarching goal of identifying treatment targets for moral injury.
