As a professor in the Faculty of Social Sciences you have available to you a Web-based tool which will facilitate the update of your Web profile and uoCV. The uoCV is required annually within the context of the annual report as a requirement of the collective agreement. In addition to this, the University requires the uoCV for any application for promotion or academic leave. In a single operation, you are able to create an uoCV in MS Word format and update your Web profile. Not only does this tool streamline your processes and minimize the risk of errors, but it also allows for regular updates.
Web profiles should be available for full-time professors, replacement professors, visiting professors, part time professors and senior fellows according to the available categories in the application. With the exception of part time professors, each professor has access to the Web-based tool which grants them access to his or her profile.
Important
The University has implemented a new institution-wide CV system which replaced the Ontario Council on Graduate Studies CV (OCGS) in January 2016. The Faculty no longer uses the current eCV format accessible through the Faculty Portal. The new system called UNIWeb allows you to update your online profile, your uOttawa CV and the Canadian Common CV.
For those of you who already have a current Canadian Common CV you will be able through UNIWeb to import the data and replace the eCV content by the most recent one.
