Annual Gala

Gala 2016

The School held its eight annual Gala on April 8 at the Shaw Centre. Ms. Rosemary Barton, host of CBC's Power and Politics was our guest of honor and she captivated everyone with her speech on how graduate students can make a diference in Canadian and foreign politics.

Gala 2015

The School held its seventh annual Gala on April 10 at the War Museum. It was a successful event and we had the pleasure of hearing Lieutenant-general (Ret'd) Marc Lessard's captivating speech on the challenges of managing military operations abroad.

Gala 2014

The School held its sixth annual Gala on April 10 at the Westin Ottawa. It was a lovely evening where we had the great honor to receive Ms. Louise Fréchette, who spoke about her career in the Public Service of Canada and at the United Nations.

Gala 2013

The School held its fifth annual gala on April 12, 2013 at the Canadian Museum of Nature. We had 222 guests, including 14 "alumni" and several awards were presented. This year the guest of honor was Mr. Rick Mercer, Canadian comedian, television personality and political satirist.

Gala 2012

The School held its fourth annual gala on April 11, 2012 at the National Gallery of Canada. We were delighted to welcome the Right Honorable Michaëlle Jean, Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, as the guest of honor.

Gala 2011

The School held its third annual gala on April 13, 2011 at the National Gallery of Canada. The Right Honourable Jean Chrétien, Former Prime Minister of Canada, was our guest of honour.

Gala 2010

The School held its second annual gala on April 21st 2010 at the National Gallery. More than 200 guests, including many distinguished representatives from the political and diplomatic community, attended the event. The guest speaker was his Excellency Francois Delattre, Ambassador of France to Canada.

Gala 2009

The School first annual gala was held on April 23rd 2009 at the Fairmont Château Laurier. The guest speaker, the Honourable Louise Arbour, gave a lecture entitled The Politics of Human Rights. More than 300 guests attended the gala.
