Since its conception, the NISE lab has been investigating the neurochemical mechanisms through which immune challenge and hormones during the prenatal and pubertal periods alter behavior. The behavioral outcomes that we are examining are social behaviors, depression and cognition. We use small rodents, such as laboratory mice, to gain mechanistic insight into these questions. The NISE lab runs under the direction of Dr. Nafissa Ismail. The team is composed of undergraduate, graduate students and research assistants. To learn more about the lab and to follow our research developments,  the Publications page where you can find all the papers published by the NISE lab.

Cheers,
