The Departments of Economics at the University of Ottawa and at Carleton University are pleased to announce the launch of the Ottawa-Carleton Graduate School of Economics (OCGSE). This new graduate school builds on more than 35 years of cooperation between the two academic departments in support of the Ottawa-Carleton Doctoral Program in Economics. The OCGSE includes the Joint Doctoral Program and also the two MA programs in Economics of the University of Ottawa and Carleton University.
To officially launch the OCGSE, we will hold a conference on March 24th (at University of Ottawa) and 25th (at Carleton University), 2017. We anticipate strong participation by faculty and graduate students at both universities, economists in the Canadian federal government and private sector, as well as academic economists and graduate students from other universities in Canada. The conference program is available here.
There will also be a poster session on the Saturday where PhD students of the OCGSE Joint Doctoral Program will present. PhD students from other economics programs in Canada may apply to participate in the poster session.
The cost to attending the conference will be $50 for one day and $80 for both days.
Registration is required for admission to conference events.
Lunch and coffee/tea will be provided each day to conference registrants.
