Marc LeBoutillier, Winner of the 2015 Faculty of Social Sciences Outstanding Alumni Award

The Faculty of Social Sciences is proud to confer the Faculty’s Outstanding Alumni Award to Marc LeBoutillier.

Marc LeBoutillier

Marc LeBoutillier began his career in health care administration at Montfort Hospital in Ottawa, where he worked in a number of management positions before becoming Associate Director General in 1996. Afterwards, he worked for ten years in the private sector as a vice-president of Dynacare, one of Canada’s largest health solutions companies, where he draft a national business strategy and directed the company’s operations in Eastern Canada. As VP, one of his achievements was to put in place a national pathology lab to serve hospitals and health care organizations from Newfoundland to British Columbia. He also oversaw the construction of an ultramodern regional lab facility in Ottawa, the only private Level III lab in the country.

In 2007, his keen interest in the health care sector, particularly in hospital administration, led Marc LeBoutillier to become the CEO of the Hawkesbury & District General Hospital. For the past eight years, he has aimed to transform this community hospital into a model of performance, service and infrastructure. The crux of this transformation is the building of a new $160 million hospital complex, the largest infrastructure project in Prescott-Russell since the construction of Highway 417.

Marc LeBoutillier earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Ottawa. He has served on the boards of many health sector organizations, is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders and a member of the Board of Administration of the Dominican University College.

Mr. LeBoutillier is a dynamic business leader who envisions a growing, vibrant Francophone community. The Faculty of Social Sciences is very honoured to confer its Outstanding Alumni Award on him to underscore not only his exemplary career, but also his service to the community and his steadfast desire to improve our society.
