What is the Campus Campaign?
The Campus Campaign offers faculty, staff and retirees the opportunity to make a real difference at uOttawa by getting involved with a common cause which they hold dear to their heart. The campaign is based on a “grassroots” model of fundraising since it derives both its power and reason for being from the community. In fact, each of the Faculty of Social Sciences’ nine academic units has identified its own fundraising priority.
In addition, there exists a 10th priority which touches all social sciences disciplines; the Development Fund for welcoming new students. This fund aims to improve the student experience for those students interacting with or visiting the Office of the Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
As last year’s Campus Campaign demonstrated, it is possible – if we combine our efforts – to help great projects materialize in a short period of time, thus leaving behind us a lasting and positive legacy.
The Campus Campaign’s key objectives
- To build our campus’ philanthropic culture of giving;
- To develop a true sense of engagement and belonging to the university community;
- To present a Campus Campaign that enhances the student experience;
- To encourage participation at all levels: faculty, staff and retirees. Indeed, this is in line with the campaign’s slogan: ‘’it takes a Campus to fulfill a dream‘’.
